Anyone who participated with the boys’ track and field this season the team banquet is Wednesday after school in the LGI Room from 3-4 pm.  Please bring your track uniform. See one of the coaches if you cannot attend.

All freshman and JV baseball players need to turn in their uniforms Wednesday at 3:00 in the football locker room.”

JV and Varsity girl basketball players are to meet at the Administration building tonight at 6:45 for the presentation at the school board meeting.

This past weekend both the Emerald Guard and Winter Percussion competed at the Tri-State Championships competing against groups from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.  The Emerald Guard was the Bronze Medalists finishing third and the Percussion won the Gold Medal and are the Tri-State champions for 2010.  Congratulations to both of these groups.

Students and teachers are reminded that the only drink allowed in the classroom by students is WATER and should be in a clear WATER BOTTLE.  

Saturday, the Emerald Guard and Winter Percussion competed at Louisville Butler High School where they both placed 2nd and continued the most successful seasons ever for both groups.

An article of clothing with the Colts logo has been turned in to the office.  Please stop by to identify and claim.  Also check with Mrs. Stewart for lost flash drives, house keys, car keys, glasses, jewelry.  Other clothing such as coats, shirts, pants, shoes, and books can be claimed at the bookstore area.

The Boys Swim/Diving team won their 3^rd straight IHSAA Sectional Championship Saturday over Jeffersonville.  Two school records were in the 200 Medley Relay team of Oscar Anderson, Drew Cato, Max Hollingsworth & Brock Slavens. Sectional champions in the 200 Freestyle Relay is the team of Wolfe, Crater, Slavens & Cato.   Drew Cato was a double sectional champion in the 100 freestyle & 100 backstroke. Brandon Davis was the sectional champion in diving and will compete in the Bloomington North Regional on Tuesday. Brock Slavens also advances to state in the 50 freestyle by setting a school record on Thursday night.

PENNIES From Heaven and Floyd Central – for the Haitian relief – don’t forget your pennies, and any other form of money for the PENNY WAR against other local schools sponsored by  National Honor Society.  Members will be out with containers during lunch each day.

There are 11 categories to compete in with first place being $3,000, second $2,000 and third $1,000.   Categories and more information are listed on the bulletin board in the guidance office.
