    Any boy or girl interested in running cross country next year need to attend a meeting after school this Friday, May 28th in D110.

    Great job to the Girls and Boys Cross Country teams at Regional Saturday and advancing to the Semi-state. The girls’ order of finish was: Chelsea Reidinger, Abbie Ewing, Connie Rhodes, Brandy Fulton, Kendra Mifflin, Rachel Hartog and Ryan Meza.  The boys were Cory Portwood,  Matthew Hamilton, Logan Kelly, Jesse Hamilton, Chris Pepin, Gannon Yeaton, and Kahler Davis

    Congratulations once again to the girls cross country team as they won the Clarksville Invitational last night. Out #1 pair was Hannah Keehn and Abbie Ewing.

    Any student interested in being a member of student renaissance this year – please see Mrs. Cambron in A-216 by Thursday, Aug. 27th. 

    Senior Exec has a meeting Thursday at 7AM in the Student Conference Room. 

    OPEN House is Thursday beginning at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. Information will be passed out today 7th period for all students.

     Today is the last day for auditions for the theatre department’s first play, the comedy “Almost, Maine”, immediately after school.   

    Learn how to make good decisions. Join SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions).  There will be an informational meeting at 2:45 in B18 after school Wednesday with Ms. Barnes. 

    SPORTS -Congratulations to the girls cross country team as they won the Bulldog Classic on Saturday at NA and also to Chelsea Reidinger for her 1st place finish overall. 

    Tonight the volleyball girls play Providence:  JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:30.  Come out and show your support the girls against Providence,

    Come out tonight for the boys’ soccer match against Providence which begins at 5:30 for JV and 7pm for varsity – both events are here at FC. 

    Open mat for wrestlers begins today and each week hereafter on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30pm until further notice. 

    Advanced tickets for the Providence Football game this Friday will be on sale at the athletic office for everyone during the school day for $5 each.  This way you won’t have to stand in line to purchase your ticket.  Be sure to tell your parents, family and friends.

    All National Honor Society members will meet Monday, August 24th in A-218 with Mrs. Bryan.  Report to first period for attendance then to the meeting.  A list of members and meeting notice was placed in teachers mailboxes last week.

     If you purchased a Turkey Bowl uniform and did not play, see Mrs. Rowe in A36 by this Friday to pick up your uniform.

     New students to Floyd Central are invited to join FC students and staff at the tailgate party this Friday, Aug. 21st.  Free football tickets and food will be given to all new families. Meet at 6pm at the New Alumni Plaza behind school. We’ll be waiting for you.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Charbonneau in A-38.
